CITY'S BALANCE SHEET
AUDIT OFFICE'S APPROVAL. The balance-sheet of the Wellington City Corporation has, as stated yesterday, been returned by the Controller and Auditor-General certified to without objection. The certificate is as follows:— "The audit office having examined the balance-sheet and accompanying accounts required by law to be audited hereby, certifies the same to be correct."
For 1918 the receipts of'the-'corpora-tion totalled ,£604,306, and the expenditure .£601,351. In 1917 the receipts' were ,£583,930, and the expenditure '<£501^238.
