LYTTELTON PERRY SERVICE

SOLDIERS ONLY ON SATURDAY AND TUESDAY. The transport Hororata, with Draft No. '221 (1500 soldiers all told) will arrive at Wellington to-morrow, a few hours earlier than was previously expected. In consequence of this the Union Company's Lyttelton steamer Mararoa will on Saturday night be used exclusively to convey South Island returning, men to Lyttelton. Civilians will now be able to travel by the Maori, sailing on Monday night, but the Mararoa. on Tuesday night will again be closed to ordinary passengers to allow for the men, ex tho Athenic, to proceed to their homes. As yet there is no wireless advice from the Athenic, stating the time of her expected arrival, but it will probably be known to-day.
