BOWLS

The annual bowling matoh between Petone Bowling Club and the Railway Department took place on Saturday, there was a- large attendance, and Mr. Q. A. Pearson, on behalf of the Railways, .thanked the plub for the pleasant Afternoon. He made special mention of tho excollent music rendered by the band arid tho afternoon tea dispersed by tho lpdies. Mr. Hancock, president of the club, suitably replied, and cheers were given for both-the Petono and Railway bowlers.' Tho acores wore, as follow:— Petone: A. Cometti, Rennie, Hutchinson, P.
