Braddon (Commissioner for Australia), in a speech at the Now York Chamber of Commerce, said Australia wishes to increase her trade with the United States, but America must realise' that Australia is unable to pay in geld for goods purchased, nor can Australia export sufficient goods to pay for her purchases. The United States must expect to invest money in Australia, and to purchase Australian ■ securities iu return for goods sold to the Common-wealth.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
