The principal items are far 'building, repairs, and maintenance, while requirements for armaments and aviation amount to ,£lB,000,000. The Admiralty will shortly issu,3 details of the damage sustained by the British vessels in the Jutland Battle. The Australian Press learns that fhe Marlborough was. struck by a torpedo, which flooded the dynamo tooiu, the hydraulic room, and one boiler room. The Barham was hit twice, but no great material damago was done, although there were heavy casualties to the medical and wireless staffs. The Colossus was hit twice, causing a fire on the gun deck, but the damage was not serious. The battle-cruiser Malaya was hit eight times.. One of her six-inch guns was damaged and the mountings wrecked, while the inner and outer oil bunkers were flooded. She also sustained s.light damage to the after tur-ret.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
