TYPOGRAPHICAL WORKERS
AMENDMENT TO AWARD FILED. By TeleKrauli—Press Association. Christahureh, March 10The Arbitration Court, with the consent of the parties, has filed an amendment to the Sew Zealand typographical workers' award increasing tho war' bonus by 7s. 6d. per week to all journeymen except pieceworkers, but the increase is no! subject to the condition in reference to the cutput of linotype operators. Prom January next the hours of the men in the hand section and those now working forty-eight hours in the machine section shall be reduced to forty-five per week. Work on Saturday night special editions will be paid for at the rate of 3s. Cd. per hour on tlma, or at piece rates, with a minimum of 7s. 6d. Hand pieceworkers will be paid threepence per thousand additional. In (he lithographic and letterpress printers' machinists' award the war bonus is increased by 7s. 6d. a week, and from January next the hours of work shallbe reduced to forty-five. In the New Zealand bookbinders and paper-rulers and cutters' award, except in Wellington, the war bonus is increased by 7s. 6d. a week to all journeymen, except pieceworkers, and the hours reduced from next January to forty-fite.
