TECHNICAL POINT IN BY-ELEC-TION. (Rec. March 9, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, March' 8. The nomination of Chaplain-Captain Wilson as the Returned Soliders' Association's nominee for the Petersham by-elec-tiou was refused on the ground that- his name was not on the roll. It is stated that the decision will affect altogether 3600 returned soldiers. Mr. Holman (the State Premier) immediately announced that ji special Cabinet meeting would be held on Monday, with a' view, if possible, of passing a validating registration to overcome the difficulty.—Press Assn.
