TOO MUCH SPARROW
The'writer of an article in the "Yorkshire P.ost" tells some good school stories. Dealing with the correlation of subjects, ha explains that ; the-sparrow lesson is first given, after which the children read of a sparrow, they write of a sparrow, they draw of a sparaw, they clay-model a sparrow; they.have stories of a sparrow; and so on. On Friday, in an interval during these lessons, a. hoy of five was observed (o .turn round and speak to a girl, whose face betrayed the serious nature of.his remark, and aroused the teacher's curiosity. "We 11,... Freddy, what did y?u say lo Janeyp" No answer: . ' "Now, do'-tell mo; what did you say?" No answer. < So the teacher turned to ,Taney with "What did Freddy sny to you just now, Janey?" "Please, ma'am, he said, 'There's that d— sparrow coming.again!"'
