CURTAILMENT OF HOURS OF LABOUR
. A SOUTH AFRICAN MOVEMENT. (Rec. March 8, 1.20 a.m.) . Cape Town, March 6. A combined meeting of the National Executive of the National-Organising Committee and the Johannesburg District Committee of the South African Lab&ur Party approved a movement throughout South Africa for the curtailment of the hours of Labour. It was also agreed that in any schema for Tebrganisation of employees, owing to the return of soldiers or otherwise, a policy of reduction of houre and expansion of the field of employment should be adopted in preference to a policy of retrenchment—Ecuter.
