REVIVAL OF MINING
MOVEMENT IN HAURAKI DISTRICT. By Telegraph—Frees Association. Thames, March G. The Thame? Comity Council has decided to join the Coromandel Council in conference regarding the revival of mining. It is intended to nslc all local bodies in the Bauraki mining district to participate with tlio object of altering the mines law, which was framed thirty years ago for conditions entirely dissimilar to those at present. It is expected to ho hold at an early date. Tho recommendations will bo- placed before tlio miners.
