A total clearance~TOVia"effected at the following prices:— Four and.flve-year. owes, 245. led., 25b. 7d., t0:,28n., the latter pricei-'being obtained for a line of IDCfI heavy-skinned ewes, four-tooth owes niado 275. ld.j small twotooth ewes, 175.; f.m. ewes. 165., to 18p. M.; BDiall two-tooth wethers, 205.; a, good line of 40(1 woolly tfether lambs made 17s. 6d. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Palmerston North, report having a very fair entry of both sheen and cattle at their Taihapc salo on Wednesday, and while there was good competition for sheep, cattle were almost unsaleable. Quotations;— Call owes, Bs. 3d. to 125.; lowconditioned four and five-year ewes. 14s. to 155.; four and five-year ewes, 20s. to 235. W.: mixed fat sheen.-to 28s. 3d.: mixedaged Rpmney rams. 225. to 23 guineas; tour-tooth Lincoln rams. 5 guineas. Cattle: Light fat cows, £9 to £10; fat cows, £11 to £11 10s.; three-year heifers, £8; cows, •with calves, £10 10s.
