SURRENDER OF THE GERMAN FLEET
Sir,—Tlie British Admiralty is having a painting of the historical scene in the cabin of Admiral Beatly's flagship, on the occasion of the surrender of the Gei> anan Fleet, executed by an eminent artist. For this purpose, of course, the artist chosen will have opportunities which no other artist can possibly have for the correct portrayal of-the scene. I suggest that the N.Z.,Government should, if possible, arrange to have a replica of the picture painted by the artist, and have the same liunir in the now Parliament Buildings. The necessary consent of the Admiralty would ' doubtless be gained. If the Governnjpn-t cannot do thi?, perhaps the Nijvy League might undertake it, and raise a special fund for the purpose. I should be glad to contribute my mite.—l am, etc.. C.R.F
