REPORTED LOSS OP THE WESTRALIA.
■'. . Sydney, March G. The . Huddart-Parker Company state that its vessel Westralia collided with the Star, and the latter sunk. There were no casualties. A later message states that the Westralia was sunk as the result of a collision with the steamer Star while changing berths. ' Another report states that tho star was sunk. Owing to the trouble 'with the seamen in Australia, however, her activities have lately been confined to Australian waters, but she was to have resumed her usual running this month. The Westralia. is. a steel eorew steamer of 2881 tons gross, and was built at Sunderland. in 1897 'by J. Laing and Co Her dimensions are as follow:— Length, 327 feet; breadth, 41 feet; depth, 30 feet.l
