"Barnes states that the International Labour Committee in Paris has endorsed the British draft of the International Charter of Labour. The draft includes provisions that there shall be no employment of children under fifteen years-of age,; and that boys and girls betwen the ages of fifteen and eighteen shall only be allowed to work six hours daily.' All 'workers must not exceed eight hours daily or forty-eight weekly. Workers are to be allowed a continuous weekly rest of at least thirty-six hours between Saturday and Monday. Women must not bo employed at night or given ■home work after the regular day's work. Workers shall have the right to free combination and association with r.ll countries. Immigration shall not be prohibited, though States shall have the .right to restrict: immigration temporarily during times of economic depression.— 'Aus.-N.Z. Cable Aesn. * MR.
