Rose Pink has 15lb. more than she won with twelve months ago, and this should stop her. Gold Soult, Bst. 91b., is a hard puller, tut. if his rider can succeed in keeping him in behind ho may (jet the ten furlongs, though the shorter distance on the second day would .suit him better. Master Moutoa filled Kecond place on each day at bisbonie, but the class to-day is better. Paciho Slope is on tho improve, and his win at Dannevirke on the second day was lull of merit. He was also going on at the right end. To-day he vail have the services of C. Emerson. Amongst the lightweights is Esperauce, a three-year-old, full-sister to Ardenvohr and Mascot, t>he gallops well on the tracks, but so far Has not run up to it in her races. For the Hack Welter Handicap, seven furlongs, Consultation may be at tlio shortest price. The bay mare ran two good races at Dannevirke, and will be more forward than the majority ot the runners. Imaribbon will have the services of H. Gray, but she has not raced yet this season. Beloved was a winner at Gisbnrne, and has a big reputation as a galloper. Consultation and Beloved may he foremost when tho judge's box is reached. . -, There will be six runners in the stewards. Handicap, and after her runaway victory at Wanganni Rebekah is sure to be inquired for. The Devonian mare is on the improve, and she mav be at a very short price. R. Bogby will be on Mr. .1 ,1. Though H. Gray has a ride in all the other gallopinjr events, he was not enpaged in thp Nelson Cup when yesterday's boat sailed. Messrs. E. .T. Watt. H. Chisholm, and Keinball horses) are to-day returning to .T. O'Shea (who is going over to ride the Sydney by the Riverina.
