FEW CASES IN NEW ZEALAND,

A statement made by the Hon. G. W. itussell, Minister of Public Health, yesterday should give comfort to those people in New Zealand who are stall imsious lest the epidemic may come bacK to us. ,!•«,» The Minister stated that during the week ended noon. Monday, seven influenza cases were notified throughout the Dominion. Four of these were in the Auck\aud Health District, one at Whawjarei, and two at Auckland, all of which were mild, and one fatal case— tlint of a Native woman at Helensnlle, which was of the epidemic type. In Wellington district there was one mild caso nt Wan»anui, and in Canterbury district two mild oases. There were no deaths in Canterbury ot Wellington, and in tno Ota?o district there were no notifications or deaths.
