After'a series of placed performances in big handicaps.- All-Talk succeeded in winning the big'.eyent at Hamilton yesterday. The All Black gelding is to bo tried over .hurdles in-.the winter.

C. Pritchard'will run Rienzi and Esperance. Both horses are owned by tho Messrs. Puller and Seddon, but they run
in different interests and will not be bracketed on the machine. H. Gray is to rido tho horses owned by Mr. J. .T. Corry at the Nelson meeting, which opens to-morrow. Gray will also steer lied Signal at the same meeting. Splendid entries have been received for tho Rangitikei meeting, which takes place on March 2G and 27. Handicaps for tho first day's events arc due on March 15. . • The ex-Hastings jockey, C. Hollo, was successful in' two races at the Anzac meeting in Palestine in December. Rollo piloted tho winner, Stonewall Jackson, ot the Anzac Steeplechase. The distance ol the trip was one mile and a half, over six jumps, each 3ft. Gin. high, and all of tho runners carried 12st. He also had tho seat 'on Sinia in the Divisional Stakes, four furlongs, weight list., in which ho was just beat for second .money. Sinia is identical with Chamois (by Wonderland-Bland), who, during tho earlier portion of her career, was raced by her breeder, Mr. G. Hunter, and who later on, under tho cognomen ot Gold Cup, was seen in action at Miramar, Wellington. Another New Zealand-bred equine seen out at the meeting was Kising Sun' (by Robin Adair-Rangimoki), who was bred in tho Wairoa district, and who as a five-year-old' won several races in the Wairoa'and Povorty Bay districts. The crack three-year-old gelding Gloaming was not entered for the Great Northern St. Loger nor. tho Now Zealand St. Leger. Gloaming's autuimi 'engagements include the C.J.C Challenge Stakes of .£IOOO (.nd.tho North Island. Challenge Stakes of' .£750, which events are run respectively over seven furlongs and six furlongs, and in each case ho is cast in the maximum penalty.'. M. Hobbs has decided that it is _ useless to 'persevere further' with Winter Cherry, and tho imported, mare will go to the stud'next season. She has been repurchased by Mr. G. Fulton, who formerly .raced her.
