A good story is told by Huxley of his first arrival in Dublin. Being in a hurry to reach his destination, he called a sidecar, and rapidly'mounting, told the driver to be as quick as possible. The driver whipped his old maro to « gallop, but in the wrong direction, and when Huxley taxed him with not knowing where ho was going to, said: "True, your honour, I don't; but look at the ould mare! She's, doin' her best,".
