new. Among them are Messrs. John Walker. C. A. Poll, and P. Stairmand. A wedding of considerable local interest was solemnised in the Chinch of the Epiphany, Ormondville, on Wednesday. 'I'lio ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. W. Whiblev, and the parties wero Henry J BuR-iell, 'second son of Mr. James Bussell, of Colylon, and Bessie llenbow, fourth daughter of Mrs. llenbow, of Ormondville. The. bride, who was given away by her brother, Private AY. J. Penbow, woro a naetier blue crepe <le chine, dress, with black lint, and carried a bouquet of white roses and asters, with pink lilies. She wns attended by bur sister. Miss Violet Benbow, wearing a greycrtpo de chine costume, wilh grey hat, lii.ed with cerise, and carrying a bouq.net of cactus dahlias and asparagus. Mr. Charles Unwell aeled as best num. The "Wedding March" was played by J!iss )■!.

After the ceremony the lelatives of the young people were entertained at Mrs. Benlww's house, from which Mr. and Mrs. Bussell took their departure for Wellington, where they will spend thfir honeymoon, going the lirst part of the journey by motor. Mir. Bussell is a returned soldier, having-volunteered at the commencement of the war ..ud left with the Fourth Heinforeemenls.
After the Dnnnevirke races (says the "News'-') a well known and genial local stock auctioneer was hailed by some fair pedestrians and directed to drive them to their place aV abode, in an outlying part; of the borough. With his customary courtesy ho complied with the demand. On getting out. of the car the passengers politely inquired the fare t and were just as politely told by the chauffeur that iw lie had had such n good day at. the races he'would not chargo for the ride. The surprised fares were profuse with their thanks, and the. modest motorist as lie was speeding away overheard the end n flattering iremark—"And' he was so nice looking, too!"
