METHODIST CONFERENCE
By Telegraph—Press Association. Chi'istchurch, February 28. At 10-day's sitting of the Methodist Conference the Revs. J?. JI. Spoiled 1 and A. I.Thompson, representing tlio British ami Foreign liiblc Society, waited on the conference, nnd spoke 1 of the society's work. Mr. Spencer said the society wished to lie intimately associated with the Methodist Church. The headquarters ill' New Zealand now were in Wellington, and it was hoped that the large buildings there would bo the rallying point of the churches. A letter was received from the Eevs. R. S. Gray and J. Dawson, of the New Zealand Alliance, asking that the conference should postpone the removal of ministers to their now circuits for a week, in order that their removal might not interfere with the efficiency campaign. The letter was referred' to tho' Stationing Committee.
