At Dannevirke this '.week P. Davis reported tliat Desert Gold was having a few days' spell, but ske N would commence work- again shortly, and would be a runner in. the Awapuni and Trentham Gold Oups in the autumn . ! R. A prominent steward of the Pahiatua Racing Club in Mr. E. Darley-Jintends shortly taking up his residence at Ellerslie. At-a meeting of the stewards of-the club last week reference was made to the good work done by Air. Divrley in tho cause of the sport, and farewell was taken of him.
