' . MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Board of * Governors of the Wellington Girls' and Boys'. Colleges was'held thuaa present being:—Air. W. S. Ward (in the chair), Professos Eastortield, and Messrs. Martin Chapman, ICC., W. Allan. T. Forsyth, and W. H.Tield, M.P. ' ,The financial , for the month sh'owed a balance of /i29Bl'ils. lOd. at the bank,' but out of this sum a total of ■ .£1628 7s. 4d. was required. lor payments in connection with the two colleges, ,£797' 3s, Bd. for the Boys'' College, and .£B3l '.'Ba.' Bd. for jfclis • Girls' College. 1 This would leave a balance of £1353 4s. 6d. The fees outstanding were shown as:—Wei-' College, first terrii ,£1793 13s. 7d., arrears .£49 lis. -Bd.; and Girls' College, first term £UHVI4s. 3d., and arrears' , 16s. 7d.; a'total of .03,388 16s. Id. The larger amounts in each case.include free place fees—Wellington College 17s. id., and Girls' College'4:l24B 7s. 2d.' Mr. F. W. Ward was selected by 'the board'to represent ,the governors at the special conference.' on town-planning, "which is to sit shortly. .' It'was announced that Mr. A..E.
