WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. The Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last night, Mr. C. G. Wilson presiding. There were also present. Messrs. M. J. Crombie, W. Baker, D. M'Kenzie, K. Tnsker, W. Hughes, and V. B. Willie (secretary). It wa9 reported that the Auckland representatives, who'are to meet Wellington on February 28, March 1 and 3, would arrive in Wellington by the ferry steamer this niorning, and. it was agreed that play should commence at 11 a.m. each day. Arrangements were made that the Wel« lington team which is to play Wauganui should leave by the Main Trunk train on Friday. The committee resolved thaiao junior or third-class matches should toko place on Saturday.A suggestion was made by Mr. Wilson that a <matclT should be arranged between players over twenty-nine years of age and those under that age. Such a raatoh, he said, would attract a great' deal of interest, and would do a lot of good for the game in Wellingtoß. •"A match of this description between the younger and the older generation is n rattling good idea," remarked Mr. M'Kenzie, who thought that the proceeds should be donated to the Returned Soldiers' Club.

"The Returned Soldiers' Association have to raise .£2OOO odd to cover their activities for the nest eighteen months," said Mr. Wilson, "and I think it would be a very good thing for this association to take the matter up. It would do .us no harm, it would do a wonderful lot of good to the game, and it would do a great amount of good for the returned soliders' cause." Members of the committee were unanimously in favour of the proposal, and it wns resolved that the match should be played on the Basin Reserve on March 8, the proceeds to be in aid of the Returned Soldiers' Club. The game will commence at 11 a.m.
