MEMENTO OF LE QUESNOY
EIFLE BRIGADE'S GIFT TO DUKE OF CONNAUGHT. (From the New Zealand Official Correspondent.) Levarkusen, February 19. The Duke of Connaught', in acknowledging the presentation of a mosaic aeroplane photographs of Le Quesnoy from the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, 6ays it will remain a valuable memento to him of one of the most thrilling and admirable of the actions carried out so successfully by the'New_ Zealand Rifle Brigade. The capture of that fortified town is, he thinks, -unique in many captures' made by our troops in the great war. He adds that the New Zealand troops/ and especially the Rifle . Brigade, have borne a noble share "in all the fighting that culminated so gloriously last .November in the. defeat of the strongestmilitary power the world has ever seen.
