EXPORT OF TIMBER
AMENDING REGULATIONS. Amendiriij regulations relating' to' the export of'timber linve been gazetted: The jnincipal provisions are: After a notice has-been given fixing the quantity of timber ot any kind or'grade required to he reserved from any sawmill for use in New Zealand, it shall. not be .lawful for any person (whether-a sawmiller or not) to export sawn timber, of that kind or grade'.'bein°r the production of,that sawmill ; (whether produced before or after the delivery of the notice), except pursuant to li permit issued in that behalf by Board *of Trade. I. (1) Every person who, after' the' commencement af this Order,-in-Council, proposes to export any timber of a kind or grade to which a notice under the principal regulations applies shall produce to the Collector of Customs at the port of shipment the permit to export such timber, and shall furnish to the Collector: (a) Particulars as to the quality, .kind, and grade ,pf. timber: proposed to be .'exported;. (b) particulars as to the ;sawmill at 'whiuh the 'timber was duced; and (c) a declaration under tlio Customs, Act,- 1913,' that the proposed , export is in conformity* ,with the.
