._. .. .—O, CONFERENCE WITH TtiE GENERAL .. MANAGER, The. conference between tlio General Manager of Railways ami the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, which was commenced on Thursday, was continued yestorday morning. A prolonged discussion took place, and the Bociety clearly explained the nature and cause of their demands. The utmost good feel-1 ing prevailed, and there is every prospect of a satisfactory settlement heing i arrived at. .The society has agreed to confer with the Minister of Railways and the management during March, to further consider the various .matters presented.
