At the Industries Corporation .Confer: ence* to-day tho following- motion was carried:— I "Tilat as a .step towards the active development of the industrial life of the Dominion the Government be urged to at once set up'a'tariff board to evolve such features as will stimulate existing manufactures, and lead to the establishment of new ones.' It was resolved that the president of the Dunedin association be president of the corporation for the ensuing year. The presidents of various affiliated associations were appointed vice-presidents, ami the Wellington committee is to be the executive committee of the corporation,, and Mr.H. I'. Allen, Wellington, the secretary.
