PETONE MAGISTRATE'S COURT

The monthly sitting of the Pctone Magistrate's Court was held yesterday. Mr. F. V. Ifrazer, S.M., presided. I'. J. Summers, for a breach of his prohibition order, was lined £2 and 7s. costs. A prohibition order was issued against Arthur Towers. For exceeding 'the speed limit on the Hutt Bond, T. fi. M'Kenzie was fined A"2 and 19s. Gd. costs; Airjni Perry (two charges),' £2 and 355. costs;' A. J. Toogood, 30s. iiad 17s. fid. costs; E.' AY. AVhiteman (two charges), £2 10s. and 355. costs; W. M'Lennan (two" chaises), £3 and 355. costs; W. Kobertson, £2 10s. and 17s. Cd. costs. AY. I'. Eggers, on two charges of failing to connect up properties with tho sewerage system, was fined 10s., and 17s. 6d. costs on each charge. J. Fleet, for allowing' a horse to wander, was lined,'*, and 17s. Gd- costs. On a judgment summons, AY. L'acey was ordered to pay £1 and 17s. Gd. costs. AV. H. Allan, for failing to notify change of ownership of motor-car was fined 10s. and 265. 2d. costs. AY. Fermi, for failing to notify change of ownership of motor-cycle, was convicted and ordered to pay costs, amounting to ISs. 6d. An application was in'ade by Mr. Newell, owner, to have determined the capital value of a house in Hjgli Street, at present occupied by Mrs. Budge. Mr. Meek appeared for Mr. Newell, and Mr. Kirk for the tenant, Mrs..Budge. After-hear-ing the evidence of the experts, the Magistrate said he could hardly''bo expected to judge between them. They would'' require to have n Government valuation. The case was then adjourned pending a Government valuation of the property. , ,
