The sotting in of rain yesterday morning prevented the Public Service tournament i'lom talcing place as had been arranged, and it was accordingly decided to postpone the holding of it: until Wednesday next, when it is hoped that better wealhe.r will prevail. The fixture will take place under similar conditions and on the same greens as had boon arranged for yesterday, and it is anticipated that most, if not nil, of the teams that had been seleoled for yesterday's contest' will be able to participate.
