Borough Council on Tuesday evening considered a proposal to raise a loan for the purpose of erectin" municipal residences to relieve the pressure of the housing problem. It was iirged by councillors that the ratepayers should be consulted in the matter, and eventually notice of motion was given to this effect. r. i Some time back the Masterton Borough Council decided to establish a municipal coal depot. So far no coal has been received. The council on Tuesday resolved to make immediate efforts to prqeure supplies.
