THE TERMS COMPLAINED OF
(Rec. February 19, 1.40. a.m.) .. Weimar, February 17. While instructing Herr Erzberger to sign the new armistice, the Government has issued a statement complaining of the'terms, especially-those involving the evacuation of important places in favour of the Poles, against whose encroachment Germany must'be authorised to defend itself. Regarding the carrying out of the terms hitherto unfulfilled, the statement assumes that Germany -will notbe obliged to carry out terms incompatible with President Wilson's principles.—Reuter. . ■
BACKBONE OF PRUSSIAN ARMIES WITH
THE COLOURS
NEW MOBILISATION- REPORTED. London, February 17. Amsterdam reports stato that Germans in Holland admit that although millions, of men have been demobilised, the backbone of the Prussian armies remains with the colours under the 1914 officers.
The Geneva "Freizeit" publishes a facsimile of an order mobilising the 1886 to IS9B classes at Guhrau, Silesia. This disproves the Government's pretence that recruiting is entirely ' voluntary. The newspaper adds: "It is a real mobilisation, for a new war, with the consent of the Central Council of Soldiers."
The Lausanno "Gazette" 'understands that Germany could raise an army of three millions within a few weeks to start the war again on the Rhine.—Aus.N.H. Cable Assn.
DELAY IN DISARMING WAR VESSELS ENTENTE NAVAL COMMISSIONS AT .KIEL AND DANZIG., - Copenhagen, February 16. The, British cruiser Comus. conveying an Entent Naval Commission, has arrived at Kiel. The Commission stated that the disarmament of submarines has not proceeded satisfactorily. Those which. are' not disarmed by February 17 will be sunk.
The American cruiser Wicke, conveying another Entente Commission, arrived at Danzig to supervise the disarmament of German warships.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ■
DESTRUCTION OF GERMAN WARSHIPS FORESHADOWED' ALSO FORTIFICATIONS ON HELIGOLAND AND. KIEL CANAL. . (Eec. February 18, 7.10 p.m.

The "Daily Chronicle's"' Paris correspondent foreshadows that the further armistice conditions will ' include the breaking up of German' warships and the destructions of the fortifications on •Heligoland and th<3 Kiel Canal.—Aus,N.Z. The new armistice terms include the destruction of the fortifications on Heligoland, and in tho Kiel Canal, and the neutralisation of the Kiel Canal.—United Service.

Tho armistice-terms include not only a reduction of the German Army and the surrender of kirms, but the destruction of manufacturing processes which only serve war purposes.
