WARM AND HUMID
The wind changed to tho south yesterday, cooling the atmosphere of tho city perceptibly. Present indications are for variable breezes, eouth-wcsterlies, changing to the south-east shortly, with warm and humid conditions, increasing cloudiness, and a. general rainfall in 'the course of a day or two.-
At the annual meeting of the New Zealand University Senate in. Christchurch, Mr. 11. F. von Haast read n. report from the Wellington Recess Committee which recommends that so soon as the finances of the University allowed same arrangements should be mado to inaugurate a travelling soholarship in forestry.
