Lady Liverpool Fund Committee. A meeting of tho Lady Liverpool Fund Committee was held yesterday morning. Mis. -Walter Nathan was in the chair, and there were also present: Mrs. A, Crawford- (lion, sec-rotary), Mesdiunes Findlay, G. Tripe, .M'Arthnr, Stott, Ashetiden, Murphy, Lang, Smith, Fordham, Thompson, Aston, Tripp, Bniiniatei , , Homer, and Hanifan, and Misses Eraser and' Eobin. A matter for discussion was work in the immediate future. Telegrams were read from Brigadier-General Rich-' ardsoh and M.ijor-General Robin, both stating that • there were. sufficient . parcels in hand for all present requirements and that,it was not necessary to continue sending. It was .therefore decidedtiatno.more parcels should be sont to the troops in Kurope. The question was raised ;ns to. the disposal of-surplus funds, and it was decide<l that the inattw bo left to a • conference of all 'the patriotic fund.societies in tho Wellington district, to be held on March 19. : Tho secretary•'■■ was. therefore asked to write to the country branches asking them to send representatives to that meeting. It' was, agreed that Friday next (February: >21) should be a working day for the purpose of "housewives." A letter was read from Lieutennnt-Colonel Chaytor, from Egypt, expressing thanke for eleven cases of goods which had all arrived in good condition; also from Captain-..Richardson,■ from-SaraM, acknowledging with thanks the safe arrival of.sixty .parcels of Christinas 'gifts. ' '.Women's'National'Reserve. A meeting was held on Friday - afternoon in Kilbirnie Schoolroom, .when a branch of the National/Reserve was forrnej. Mre. Porter (organising secretary) presided, and outlined the new work that tho'reserve contemplated taking up. Mrs. Gulley was elected president, ■ Mrs. Worboys vice-president, and Mrs. Fox secretary.- ■ The following 'committee was elected:" '-Mesdames Bethell, Gordon, Taylor, Greensltide, and Mies L. Taylor. Good work may bo expecte'd from this branch, as all are most experienced and enthusiastic workers.

Mrs. Andrew Snodgrass, whose death occurred at Korokoro, Petone, last, week, was a resident in New Zralnnd for thirty-six'years, arid lived in the AVellington [district for twenty-four. She was born in Scotland,' and at the time of her death was C 8 years of age, She is survived by her husband, with whom much sympathy will be felt.
