WOESER BAY CLUB,

The new clubhouse for -the Worser Bay Swimming and Life-Savmg Club was opened byMlr. H. A. Wright, M.l. to the district and patron of the club, on Saturday afternoon, there uenig a laige attendance of members and friends on the beach. Mr. Wright, in declaring the clubhouse open, stated that the premises had been erected freo of debt, but that donations would be gladly received by the club to complete the building. The canoe race caused great interest, and resulted in a close finish. Afternoon tea was served by the members Of the Ladies' Committee.

EVANS' BAY CLUB. ' Under jdeai weather conditions for aquatic sports, and in the presence of about ,six hundred spectators, the closing carnival of the Evans Bay Swimming Club for the season 1918-1919 was held on Saturday afternoon. . Each event was well contested, some very close and exciting finishes being witnessed. During the afternoon, the members of the committee were entertained at afternoon tea by Mr. and Mrs. Goldbeig.
