The Petone Technical Schoolßoard of: ■Managers-met last evening. T-nero were, present Messrs., J. G. Castle (chairman), J W. M'Ewan, J. M'Dougall, -Burke, P. Cavanagh, E, Corner, - and A. J. Hobte. . . ■■,--,. ~, .: The Education Department advised that it had had under consideration the probable effect the. closing-.of the-schools dui'in"- the epidemic would have upon the finances .of the school, and it had< been decided to allow 75 per cent. of. the posßible attendance that could have been made to be entered against each student who!had been attending the school within at least four weeks of the closing of the schools. • The letter was received, members remarking that it. was a very liberal allowance indeed. .■ ' .. ■It was decided to reappomt 'all last year's, instructors, subject, to sufficient number of students attending to warrant the carrying on of tho classes......" ,
