There was further trouble "with the Argyllshire's men to-day, when a thousand quarantined at North Head demanded their release. This was Refused and the men stormed the first gate of the quarantine area. They were met by a strong police force and military giiard at 'the second gate, where, without violence, the men parleyed with the guard for an hour until instructions arrived from the barracks. Acting upon these instructions the guards opened the gates, and the column matched in military order,' Under police patrol, to the wharf. The men were conveyed to Sydney in a special steamer, and escorted to camp-on the Crioket Ground. .
