Considerable disappointment has been expressed by returned Holdiers in the 'Wairarapa at the announcement that the Westmero J-lslato has been selected under Section a of the .Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Amendment' Act, and will not be thrown open for selection. Some returned soldiers claim to have received advice from the Commissioner of Crown Lands that the land was to be open for selection.
