New conditions with regard to the entry of candidates to the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, are set out in general orders. In future all candidates for militiu'y cadet<=hips at the college must be recommended 'I),v headmasters of the schoois they attend. These recommendations will be surveyed by a board of military officers, who will satisfy themselves that the candidate? are eligible in regard to age limits and in all other respects, in accordance with (lie existing regulations, so far as local circumstances liermit. The findings of the boards will ho submitted to the Governor-General for filial approval or otherwise. Under no conditions whatever will the age clauses and other conditions of eligibility be relaxed. Owing to the .inoreased competition and the decrease of the establishment at the college, only two candidates from the Dominion of New Zealand can bo accepted for any particular antrr.
