Tlic breeds are represented numerically »,s follows .—Open sections (SO croups): White Leghorns 61, Black Orpingtonv 69, Langslmns 18, Silver Wyandottes 9, Plymouth liocks 4, Rhode Island Reds 3. and 1 each of Minorcas, Anconas, and Brown Loghorns, Standard section: White Leghorns 14, Lanshangs 8. Rhode Island Reds 4, and 1 each of Light Sussex, Minorcas, 13 la ok Orpingtons, Silver Wyandottes and Plymouth ltocks. The oommittee will allot tlio peiiß next Friday. With the affiliation of the North and South Island Poultry Association to the Now Zealand Poultry Association, poultrymen in New Zealand now represent 'a lorco 10,000 members strong. "0.W.W." writes:—"l have just been balancing my poultry book for the year e>nd«l 1918. My profit on the year's working is"£27 16a. Bd. I have 50 odd laying •fowls, so it is onite a profitable hobby.
