Two theatrical artists, .under .engagement to the J. C. Williamson management for <1 liew.Montaguo Glass 'comedy, ■ entitled "Business Before Pleasure," will arrive in Wellington on Monday morning. T'lio central characters' are our'old friends, Potash and Perlrautter, and tho fun is derived from their adventures in the moving picture business. Nick Adams and .Tames Waters will play the Hebrew business men, last seen hero, in tho clothes trade. Tho newcomers have already appeared in tho comedy for over two years. They'were tho London originals in the.play and -.made.-an extensive lour of England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, tho duration of which was 110 \vcaks. .. _ • •••. .'. Coming through Now York on their way to Australia the two comedians saw "Business .Before Pleasure" stilly .running, and, taking a holiday they looked-' in at a ''performance. In one of. tho boxes wero two. Australian . soldiers on their way to the front. They were pre-, sent as the guests of a. New .York society : loader. In the interval, Liberty bonds wero sold. "A member of the audience,- said Mr. Adams, "rose and said lie would buy twenty-five thousand dollars' .worth of ■bonds' if oho of the Australians would give him a button from his tunic. IJns one of the Australians immediately, .coneenteil to do, uiul, niiiici grout ontliuskisiu the sale' was recorded. Then another member of the audience said ho would buy bonds to the samo amount for a button from tho tunic of the other soldier. Again a sale wns made. Then began bids from all parts- of tho stalls oil similar terms, and in a little wnilo tho soldiers were buttonless. Their rising sun badges followed rind the house cheercd again and again.. "finally an elderly gentleman rose and said that they were rather transgressing the laws of hospitality. 110 said how much llicy all admired the Australians as (Hiters, and their splendid good humour showed they.,wero good fellows as wll.. Ho - would, like to mark the occa-sion-by-buying a five-hundred dollar m l for each of the soldiers, Amid tho wildest scene of- enthusiasm I have ever , seen in a theatre, the purchase was made, and ,tho presentation of Uncle .Santa bonds performed with hearty ceremony. Messrs.
