REPATRIATION
« : REGULATIONS BEING CONSIDERED. The Repatriation Board has considered niul provisionally approved a set of instruction;; as to procedure for district boards and committees in respect of financial assistance, payment of sustenance rates, payment of standard wages to disabled men who wish tb be trained in new occupations, and to apprentices whoso work was interrupted, by war service. Copies of theso instructions ha< been referred to the district boards and to the local committees; with a request ftvm the Central Board that members of theso boards and committees should, ,out of their'local knowledge and experience, suggest amendments should such be necessary. It is anticipated that amendments will be made, and after due consideration the regulations will bo put into stich shape that they may be promulgated in the ordinary way. The board announces also hiat a'committee has been set up at Invercargill. The secretary is Mr. A. Glmss, a returned soldier, and the members of the committee appointed up to dale tire: Messrs. M. Thompson (Southland. War Funds Association), W. D. Burns (Industrial Association), C. S. Longuet (Y.M.C.A.), R. A. Anderson (National Efficiency Board), \V. R! Riddeh (Employers' Association), J. Alsweiler (Trades and Labour Council), S. B. Crawford (Returned Soldiers' Association), J. S. IJaxtrt.' and John Taylor (both nominated by the Central Board).
