OPERA HOUSE. "The Three Twins" attracted another large audience to. the Grand Opera House last evening, when the farce aroused roars of laughter. The bright music was an .excellent feature o! the performance, and drew forth a- liberal amount of applause. To-night and tomorrow night the Williameon Musical Comedy Company will produce "You're in Love," which is stated to be quite up to the 6tandard of t'he pieces presented previously during the season. . THE KING'S THEATRE. The final screening of "The Venus Model" at the King's will take place tonight and will be followed by a comufeta change of programme commencing with a matinee at 2.15 to-morrow afternoon. The principal attraction will he the Select feature "Up the Road Tvith Sallie," witli Constance Talmadge ae the star.. The plot is said to give ample opportunity for that piquancy of situation for which this dainty star is famous. An exceptionally fine programme of music has been arranged and will be played by the King's grand orchestra, with Mr. Li D. Austin as conductor. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. Margery Wilson will be seen for the Inst time to-night at Everybody's Thea. (re in the Triangle Company's brill'nnf detective drama, "The Hand at the Window." "The Business Life," an adaptation of Robort W. Chambers's famous no\i\. will be the principal attraction at Everybody's Theatre to-morrow. Alico ,7oyr« is admirably cast in the role of the heroine, who was playing the great game of life, but who places her faith in a broken reed of a man of ■whom scanrial spoke in no uncertain tones. EMPBESS THEATKE. "The Divine Sacrifice" will bo finally scrwned at the Empress Theatre to-day. "Ashes of Hope," the leading feature in the" new programme to be presented tomorrow, is'enid to be a most exciting find thrilling play, and features "Billie" Bennett and Jack Livingstone. "THE PIED PIPER." Quite an interesting programme is to be submitted by the Wellington Harmonic Society at the Concert Chamber to-morrow evening. The first part will include the singing of Liza Lehmann's famous song cycle, "The Daisy Chain," interest in which is accentuated by the fact-that the English Press 'have been paying, fine tributes to this graceful composer, who died a few.months ago. The second half will consist of Ernest Truman's ciintata, "The Pied Piper," a very charming work based on the famous poem by Robert Browning. Mr. Ernest Truman is the city organist in Sydney, and when the work was i-orformed in Sydney and Adelaide the Press notices were couched in a most eulogistic strain. Choral, work largely predominates, but there are good numbers for the Piper (tenor), Mayor (bass), King of the JRats (baritone), and the Lame Boy (soprano). Mr. Temple White v>ill conduct the cantata, with Mr. Harold Whittle at the piano.

"BUSINESS BEFORE PLEASURE." On Monday niplit next, and the five following nights, at the Grand Opera House, J. C. Williamson, Ltd., irill present for thn first time in Wellington the successful Hebrew comedy, "Business Before . Pleasure," .which will serve to introduce to local' playgoers the London originals of "Potnsh mid Perlnuitter." Jlesere. Adams and Waters, both , wellknown comedians. They will bo supported hr a company specially selected for the first Australian production. All Hie artiste are said to work together in this play with the accuracy of a piece of machinery, and the briskness and animation 'of the movement ■ entirely captures the audience. The amusing piece' runs its. course to an obbligato of laughter. This play is described as genuine comedy, its main theme being its satire on the production of picture films.' Abe and Mawruss go "in for making- picture films. Their experiences with the artists and the numerous misfortunes that entangle them make a screaming comedy. In Svrlney and. Molbourne this play had highly successful seasons, running in those cities for three months, and in Auckland recently it was played for six nitrhts (n rapacity business. Messrs. Adams and Waters are two artists new to Wellington, but they are stated to mnko the parts of Abe and Mawrass exceedingly clever sudies. Miss Maggie Moore, the popular favourite, will b? making a reappearance here in what is stated to be one of her greatest impersonations—that of Rosie Potnsh. The box plans are now on view at the Bristol for the six nights' season. THE COMPETITIONS. On Thursday next the competitions promoted by the Wellington Competitions Society will open at the Town Hall. The contests promise to be most interesting, there being a large number of entries from all parts of the Dominion. Pull particulars of the classes are to be found in the souvenir programme issued by the society, "• obtainable from Messrs. Begg and Co. and the Bristol Piano Company.
