WATERSIDERS PICNIC
A record attendance was registered at the animal picnic of tho waterside workers, held at Day's Bay yesterday, about four thousand people being present. The committee had the arrangements well in hand, and provided particularly well for the children, keeping, the youngsters well supplied with fruit, lollies, ginger beer, and so on. The catching of the greasy pig proved very amusing, though it did not put up much of a fight for freedom. Arthur Hinds won the greasy pole competition. The W'atersiders Band was in attendance,, and played appropriate selections. •

Levy officiated as judge of the recitations.

At the Supreme Court, Tima.ru, yesterday, William John Buckley, for indecently assaulting a girl under 12 years of age, was sentenced to two years imprisonment—Press Assn.
