The "Daily News" col-respondent 'in Dublin reports that sinister developments threaten Ireland,, where action is imminent by both political ' and industrial ranks of the Republican movement. Batteries will be raised for the release of the Sinn Fein prisoners and for a forty-hour week, which will probably prove the rallying ground for three-quar-ters of the population. The Sinn Fein executive, which until Friday night had the best possible reason to believe that the prisoners, of whom thirty out of ninety a.re members of the House of Commons, would be immediately liberated, now know that there is little prospect or their, liberation. Accordingly (lie Sinn Fein executive will go ahead-with its plans, which were matured weeks ago.
