The-balance-sheet of the New Zealand Insurance Company, Ltd.-, for the year ended Novembor 30, 1918. shows that the net income from premium, .interest, and rente amounte to £1,235,(69., The available balance on the year's transactions and including the balance brought forward from the previous year amounts to £238.813 from which has to be deducted a dividend of £30,C00 paid in Auguat last. The directors now recommend the placing of £75,000 to the reserve fund and £25.000 to the staff provident fund. From the' balance of £108,813, the directors recommend the payment of a dividend at the rate of five shillings per share, and a peace bpmiß ci one shilling per share, absorbing '£45,0011, making a distribution of 10s. per share for the year, and leav ing, a net'balance of £63,813 to be carried forward. The naid-up capital, reESFv'eR and undivided profit now amount to J81.45b.813. after providing for the dividend recommended by the directors.'
