CABINET TAKES A STRONG STAN.D, (Rec. February 4, 7.30 p.m.)
Paris, February 2. The Cabinet discussed a vigorous campaign Rgainst profiteers, and announced a highly-popular decision to court-mar-tial persons guilty of (.'peculation in foodstuffs. It was decided also to immediately legislate, for increasing penalties for similar offences. It was rasolved to encourage co-operative etores, and appoint a commission to grapple generally with tho cost of living.—"The Times."
