The rivers in South Q.tago (states a Press Association telegram from Duniediri) are falling steadily, and the water on the. flooded area is gradually receding. Through railway communication'may bet restored by Thursday. The new canal bridge at Kaihingata, creeled after the 1917 flood, was carried awav this morning, and apparently washed out to sea. The daily mail service between Kaitangata and Stirling is being maintained by boat.
