The secretary ' reported that lie and the treasurer had waited upon Sir James Allen to inform the latter that the association -was desirous of sending a cablegram to the Rt, Hon. W. F. Massoy asking that the '-interests of tne Dominion's manufacturers should not be lost sight of when the matter of* Customs tariffs came up—if it did come up—at the Peace Conference. Sir James Allen had undertaken to forward the cable' message, and some notification of what he had done in the ' matter was being awaited.

Mr. L. R, Partridge was appointed to take the place of Mr. Ballinger as a, delegate to' the annual conference of associations, Mr. Ballinger being unablo to attend.
