ANOTHER RAILWAY ACCIDENT
MAN INJURED NEAR WOODVILLE. By Telegraph—Press Association . Woodville, January 31. A serious accident occurred at the railway crossing this morning. While the -7.45' train from Palmerston North was approaching the station, T! W. Hopper, a plumber, who was riding a motorcycle with a side-car, collided with the second carriage of the train. Hopper was thrown from the machine, and the carriage wheels passed over his left arm, crushing it, and severing the hand. His skull was also fractured. Hopner was conveyed to the Pahiatua Hospital. He is in a low state, suffering severely from shock.
