Though the waters are not increasing to any extent, pressure on the protective banks is very severo and persistent. Drizzling rain is not helping the sodden banks at Kaitangata, where a very large quantity of water has accumulated. The level ot" tho flood showed 110 diminution today in (he Taieri district, Tho waters aro increasing in South Taieri, and (hero is prospect of railway dislocation,', tomorrow, as the water rose two feet today, and (o-night was oyer .the tails betwen Owhero and Allauton, with a further rise probable and heavy rain falling. Stock in both districts has been removed to tho high lands. It is probable that tho turnip crop will bo ruined, depriving farmers of winter feed for stock.
